August Activities 2024

This month the nursery have enjoyed outings to the beach and Park . While at the beach they enjoyed building a boat out of the sand.

The ducklings have been learning that some things float in water and some sink, we tried out different objects in the water to see what they did.

We went over the colours that we have learnt and also did some colour sorting.

We used the colour yellow to paint sand castles.

When the weather was bad and we couldn’t get out in the garden we did some den building deciding what objects we wanted to use to make out den.

Ducks have been den building with lots of different materials. eg plastic blocks, tables etc and finding different ways to use them.

We took some walks down to the horses and ducks that live down the road.

We have enjoyed many picnics in the garden this month.

We put cling film around the table and the children enjoyed using  the felts to make pictures.

The children used paint brushes and water on the fences in the garden to help develop their motor skills
