January Activities 2025

Ducks

This month the children are working on learning about space and plan to put their artwork in the Eisteddfod.

They are having conversations about planets – what they look like, the colours, shapes and how far they are from the sun.

we have done an activity matching planets in order and naming them.

We have been busy making astronauts and stars.

We painted the astronaut’s using paint brushes and when it was dry we stuck pictures of our faces on to make us the astronaut and we added  some tin foil to make out suits shiny.

For our stars we chose to paint them yellow or stick on some shiny sliver foil.

We have also been busy making valentines day cards for someone special.

The Ducks are having a visit from Kerri Brown to give us an idea of some great gross motor activities who LouLou will be in charge of.

Ducklings

The ducklings have been for a walk to see the horses.

They have been practicing their throwing

Learning the colour white

They decided to use tools other than paintbrushes to do painting, they used forks and cotton buds and also their fingers.

They have been roleplaying hairdressers.

They have been working out different ways of building and practicing their balance skills.
