You will be given a starter pack when you visit . This contains a registration form for you to complete if you decide you want a place, alternatively you can download a registration form from this website. Return the completed form to us and we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know if the dates requested are available. When we confirm the dates we will ask you to send a non-refundable administration fee to secure the nursery place.
We ask that you set up a standing order for the 1st of each month, we will supply you with a standing order form for you to complete and return to us, alternative arrangements can be made at the discretion of the Management.

Yes, all our staff are trained in first aid. Parents will be contacted immediately in case of a serious injury. We also ask parents to complete a consent form for emergency treatment.
Due to limited space we only take children aged 18 months and over.
No, we are more than happy to take children in nappies and are able to help parents with potty training, however we do ask parents to bring their own nappies and wipes.
Although we do have some spare clothes, we would appreciate children bringing a change of clothes with them just in case.
Yes, we know how important it is for children of this age not to get over tired, that’s why we have bedding to ensure they are able to have a nap if needed. Children can take a dummy or favourite toy for sleep times. We also have a specially designed quiet area with nice comfy cushions for the children to relax.
Yes, on some occasions we arrange outings such as going to the beach or park for a picnic and games. Parents will be asked to sign a form giving permission for Little Learners staff to take the children on outings.
Our staff will actively work in partnership with parents to ensure each child settles in comfortably and enjoys their experience at Little Learners. However, if your child won’t settle and is getting too upset, then we will call you. Parents can also phone at any time to check how their child is doing.
To ensure your child’s safety we will only allow your child to be collected by the people named on their registration form. If you wish someone else to collect your child, we need prior written notice from yourself and also the name of the person collecting your child.
A free light breakfast of toast is offered at nursery up until 8.50am in the morning.
We ask parents to provide a healthy lunch in a named lunch box. Please label any food that needs to be kept in a refrigerator. Any food which needs to be re-heated will be done so using a microwave. Please do not send in meals which ‘may contain bones’ as we are unable to check this.
Yes, Snacks will be provided at 10.15am and 3.30pm, drinks are provided throughout the day.
Yes you can, however please let us know exactly which ingredients have been used as some of our children may suffer from food allergies.
We have a no nuts or seeds policy due to allergies and we ask that during the summer you do not send in food that needs heating as we very often eat outside if the weather is warm enough.
Yes, you can book your child in for the free 15 hours at Little Learners and if you are happy to have them in the afternoons we throw in an extra hour free.
The free hours are available for one year, term time only before your child starts school and are available to all children who are living in Guernsey.
There is no administration fee for the free hours however if you are wanting additional paid hours an admin fee is payable.
All snacks, activities and treats at the Nursery are provided free of charge.
You are quite welcome to put your child in Nursery for just the funded hours term time. However we are open all year around so if you wish to put your child in for further hours we are happy to spread the cost over the year.
We offer three options of how you can take your hours:
2 days a week x 7.5 hours
3 days a week x 5 hours
5 days a week x 3 hours
The time and days these hours can be taken will depend on availability of spaces.
