Who are we

Children playing on lion table
The owners of Little Learners are mother and daughter, Sue Savident and Heidi Garnham. While Sue manages the admin side of the business and makes sure the nursery keeps its smile, Heidi, who has a level 5 qualification in child care, is very much hands on. It’s her pleasure to make sure all of the children in our care have fun filled days in a safe, secure and friendly environment.

We are continuously looking for ways to improve and to help each individual child to reach their full potential through play and discovery. We value your feedback as our team strive to make our nursery environment as comfortable, homely and friendly as possible so that your child can feel safe, relaxed and enjoy their time with us.

Why Choose Us?

Sue, mother of three and grandmother of seven, and Heidi, mother of two, both know how important it is to trust the people who care for your children.

This is why all staff at Little Learners undergo multiple checks including advanced vetting, written references and are required to volunteer in the nursery for a few hours before even being considered for a position.

We offer the very best of care, with your child’s happiness and welfare being our top priority.

All of our staff undergo continuous training, attending a minimum of five courses a year each, including First Aid, resulting in a dedicated team of professionals whose only aim is to give your child all of the encouragement, help and support they need to flourish.

We keep our prices competitive whilst providing a warm, friendly atmosphere in which your child will get to have new experiences and make new friends.

Our dedicated staff, with their wealth of experience and qualifications, boast a SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator) who is in contact with a team of professionals from outside agencies.

The staff at Little Learners loved and nurtured my son as if he was their own. They have played such a big part in his development and we are eternally grateful for their role in preparing our son for school as well as giving him a safe, happy environment to go to every day where he can learn, grow and socialise. He has flourished in his time at Little Learners and loves being there so much that even though he's started school now, he still attends the after school club and is happier than ever going there after his school days as they are like family to him.
