October Activities 2024



Ducks
Went on a visit to the KGV with the health promotion unit, exploring nature, they took a nature walk looking at all the different leaves and listening to the sounds around them. They did a bug hunt using magnifying glasses and found beetles and spiders. They enjoyed their snack of bananas and oranges.
Learning about Halloween
They took a walk to Le Platon and sat with some of the residents and enjoyed colouring, making bracelets, building with lego and making some spooky Halloween decorations.
At nursery they have been busy making spooky Halloween gloop which was orange. They added bats, bones, bugs and some black string.
They had lots of fun using their hands to play and move the gloop.
They have been working hard on their fine motor skills this month. Practising scissor cutting and lots of manipulation with palydoh. They have also done lots of puzzles, colouring and drawing.
ALL the children at nursery that day took a visit to the pumpkin farm this month. They saw all the different sized and shaped pumpkins.
They have been making Halloween craft this month, the bats and pumpkins were their favourite.
They had a tuft tray filled with Halloween things such as bats, cotton wool and pictures of spooky things.
The children all dressed up in their best Halloween costumes.
Ducklings
The colour for the month is Orange. They have made orange playdough and learned how to flatten it with their hands.
They made orange gloop and put googly eyes on it to create funny monsters.
They took at visit to Le Friquet garden centre to have a play on the gross motor equipment.
For Halloween they made bats as a craft.
They had fun exploring with orange jelly and added eyes, spiders and rats in it.
They decorated biscuits as a Halloween treat.
