November Activities 2023

November has been very busy for the Ducks. We set up our own café in the nursery and called it “Good times Café”. We took turns to be a server, took peoples orders and gave them to the chef to make. We made menus, posters and logos. We also discussed healthy choices, allergies and treats. The children also created their own special dish. (This covered a lot of areas within our ages and stages – development matters. – all around the world – role play – communication and language – imagination – mathematics – literacy – fine motor skills.)
We have also been den making after storm Ciara, talking about bad weather and keeping safe.
We made poppy’s for remembrance day and talked about the colours and what they mean.
We also held a pyjamas day and cake sale for Children in Need which all the children were invited to join in with.

This month our young ducklings have been starting to get wintery and Christmassy with their craft work.
We have also been learning about the importance of exercise and the different types of exercise as part of our Health and Wellbeing project.
The children have been enjoying a selection of obstacle courses and running around in the garden.
The ducklings have also had great fun making a café cooking food and sharing it with their friends.

Blossom went home on an adventure with Sue to visit Sue’s farm animals.
Blossom got to meet all the Chickens, the Runner Ducks and the Sheep, but her favourite part was meeting the Pigmy Goats’
Blossom enjoyed getting a ride and having a play
