September Activities 2023

Some of our younger children (ducklings) enjoying a trip to the soft play area at our local gardening centre.
Throughout September the children have been busy engaging in various topics. For their Autumn topic they have been making acorns, autumn tree’s, leaves and hedgehogs using various mediums and talking about what they have made. The preschool aged children (ducks) have also been having discussions about how the weather changes in autumn and hibernation.
In September we always get a lot of new starters due to the start of the academic year and some of our ducklings moving up to preschool to become ducks. To help with this transition and to get to know each other we do a topic named “All about me”. In this topic the children created painted hand and foot prints and made their family tree’s (using photo’s from home) and talked about them. We also discussed how families can be different in many ways.
We had a pirate day with optional fancy dress, colouring, maps and some pirate adventures to find treasure.
Our preschool children (ducks) also made red arrows for Battle of Britain
