June Activities 2024


The Ducks have been scooping corn and water into a bowl to freeze. Sue will then take it to Belvoir farm to give to the chickens.
The Ducks have been making their own little garden and planting in them to see what they can grow, they have been pouring, measuring and rubbing the soil. Watering them to take care of them



We have been talking more about den building and what materials we would need to make them.
Our ideas were

-pegs
We made two different dens.
We spoke about the different materials and how they feel and if it was see through. We had a talk about teepee’s and how they would be bigger outside and where they might have come from. The children answered “America”
Pre-school went on a visit with the Health commission to the KGV. We did a nature trail looking at leaves, trees and looking for insects along the way. The Health Commission had set up activities along the way and we had snack while we were there, we made some lovely towers with logs and natural wood.
All of the nursery went on a visit to Castle Cornet. We looked at the museums and pretended to fly planes. We looked for fairy gardens along the way and had our lunch there. We also had a chance to ride the big public bus.

We have been learning all about the colour yellow, playing with our tuft tray and learning yellow words
We have enjoyed playing with the sand and water
We have also enjoyed practicing our threading skills and colour sorting
