May Activities 2026

May has been a very busy month.
We spent a week teaching the children about liberation day, they did a visit to the Candie Museum and also made guernsey flags. They enjoyed playing the same sort of games that children would have played- for example Jacks, and yoyo’s.
They also got to try Guernsey Gache with butter at snack time.
We enjoyed making pizzas with the children for snack and also made slime using glue, foam, food colouring, glitter and an eye wash solution.
They have been practicing their shapes and colours.
We organised a project on mini Beasts where the children learned about the different types of bugs and how some may fly. We had tuft trays with soil and bugs in and the children had tweezers and clear domes to collect the bugs, the second tuft tray was water, peas and bugs.
The children made butterflies with movable wings.
They have also been watching Live eggs transform overtime into butterflies and also Ladybugs.
