Activities
Our aim is to introduce the children to a variety of resources to
encourage learning including large toys such as climbing frames, ride
on toys and play houses to enhance their gross motor skills down to
building blocks, jigsaws and character toys to encourage their dexterity,
fine motor skills, spacial awareness and problem solving. We also
have a water and sand play area to help children to discover through
play.
There is a large focus placed on creativity. We have a fully stocked
arts and crafts area which encourages the children to take part in
colouring, painting, drawing, sponge painting, collage and numerous
other activities where the children can get mucky and messy, which
we know they all love.
Through play and activities your child will learn about a wide variety
of topics including the seasons, days of the week, telling the time,
colours, shapes and festivals such as Christmas and Easter. We also
introduce numeracy and literacy through play.
Group activities are also a part of the day at Little Learners as
the children are brought together for story times, singing, playing
musical instruments, board games and outings such as visits to the
park for a picnic and games.
