frequently asked questions
Please find below answers to some frequently asked questions, if you can’t find the answer to your question, please feel free to contact us.
- 1. Does my child need to be potty trained before starting at Little
No, we are more than happy to take children in nappies and are able to help parents with potty training, however we do ask parents to bring their own nappies and wipes.
- 2. Do you provide spare clothes?
Although we do have some spare clothes, we would appreciate children bringing a change of clothes with them just in case.
- 3. Will my child be able to have a nap at the nursery?
Yes, we know how important it is for children of this age not to get over tired, that’s why we have sleeping facilities and bedding to ensure they are able to have a nap if needed. Children can take a dummy or favourite toy for sleep times. We also have a specially designed quiet area with nice comfy cushions for the children to relax.
- 4. Will my child go on outings?
Yes, on some occasions we arrange outing such as going to the beach or park for a picnic and games. Parents will be asked to sign a form giving permission for Little Learners staff to take the children on outings and you will always be notified when we are planning to take the children out.
- 5. What if my child won’t settle?
Our staff will actively work in partnership with parents to ensure each child settles in comfortably and enjoys their experience at Little Learners. However, if your child won’t settle and is getting too upset, then we will call you. Parents can also phone at any time to check how their child is.
- 6. Who can collect my child from nursery?
To ensure your child’s safety we will only allow your child to be collected by the people named on their registration form. If you wish someone else to collect your child, we need prior notice from yourself and also the name of the person collecting your child.
